About Me

Hi, I'm Illia.

Illia Hudz

I'm Illia Hudz, a software engineering student at the Informatikmittelschule Basel (IMS) in Switzerland. I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, on 24 May 2007, and moved to Switzerland in March 2022. I arrived at 14 with almost no German and picked it up fast — that move taught me how quickly I can adapt when something matters.

I'm now in my third year at the IMS, focused on software development and IT. In my free time I build small projects — web apps, little tools, whatever I'm curious about — because that hands-on tinkering is how I learn best. What pulls me in most is understanding how real software is actually designed and built, not just getting it to run.

Right now I'm looking for an internship (Praktikum) where I can gain real-world experience, work alongside a proper team, and grow as a developer. I'm motivated, reliable, and I genuinely like being challenged and learning from feedback.

As an intern

What I can offer

  • Motivation to learn — I pick up new tools quickly and genuinely want to understand how things work.
  • Reliability — when I say I'll do something, I follow through — and I show up when it counts.
  • Curiosity — I care about the why behind a problem, not just the how.
  • Responsibility — I take ownership of my work, and I own my mistakes.
  • Open to feedback — I'd rather hear honest feedback than a polite "it's fine" — that's how I get better.

It sounds simple — but it's exactly what I'd want from someone joining the team.
